Charles J. Monterio, Sr. is a Retired Bank Executive and Entrepreneur. He served as Vice President of the Operations Division of Riggs National Bank and of the PNC Bank. In addition, he served as an Executive Vice President & CFO with Ronson Communications, LLC; Precise Technologies; Hopkins House Preschool Academy; President and Owner of The Monterio Group, LLC and the H&M Heritage Group, LLC. Academically he was prepared at The School of Banking, The University of Wisconsin-Madison (Finance and Management).
At the Alfred Street Baptist Church, he serves as a Deacon for the past 32 years, served as Lay leader of Discipleship Groups, and was past Superintendent of Sunday School for more than 30 years, Sports Ministry Director, and Coordinator of the ASBC Golf Tournament. This year in January 2024, he was honored with the title as Deacon Emeritus. Presently he serves as the President of the Fairfax Baptist Sunday School Union which includes twenty-five different Baptist Churches with the Fairfax and Alexandria Region.
He became a part of Lott Carey as the result of his former Pastor, the late Rev. Dr. John O. Peterson, Sr., Past President of Lott Carey Foreign Mission Board. His mission trip journey included traveling to the Lott Carey Mission School, Brewerville and Bopolo, Liberia during the years of 2006, 2007, and 2008 to collaborate with the Superintendent Walker to enhance school operation strategies. He has continued to support the Lott Carey School operation and administrative needs from 2008 to the present. His on the ground participation has also included other mission trips such as New Orleans, Flint, and Puerto Rico. Lastly, his commitment to Lott Carey has been to serve as an officer of the Men on Mission, as Special Projects Team Leader since 2008.
